When love meets adventure – The Brock and Kamrynn story

My personal brand of photography is all about adventure. Pushing boundaries, exploring the unknown, and evolving artistically drives me, and finding a couple who shares my vision is dynamite! Meet Kamrynn and Brock. This fun-loving pair look like A-list celebs and laugh like childhood sweethearts. It was nothing short of an honor to jump on board their adventure train and capture their love on camera.

I first met the future Mr. and Mrs. Van Cleve way back in late 2021. We emailed, Zoomed, and chatted it up before Brock and Kamrynn jumped on a plane and flew South to snap their save-the-dates. Now, these two are in tune, in sync, and very Gen Z, so I realized early on that a cookie-cutter engagement session wouldn’t cut it. We loaded up the gear and headed for Playa de Gaspareño, where Kamrynn and Brock worked their magic for the lens, no holds barred. Local ruins, abandoned buildings, and empty highways were our backdrops, and when the sun finally set, handheld lanterns shed light on those final romantic frames.

Capturing Kamrynn and Brock’s adventurous love story was an absolute joy! Wishing the happy couple a lifetime of love and happiness as Mr. and Mrs. Van Cleve!

After a high-energy save-the-date sesh, I was jumping at the bit to shoot Kamrynn and Brock’s big day. They had chosen September 3rd and the beautiful Garza Blanca to celebrate their love, bringing the uber-talented Cabo Wedding Services on board to plan, primp, and perfect. We kicked things off in the bridal suite, where Kamrynn and her girls sipped champagne, and close friend Brittany Bailey got to work on hair and makeup. Kam chose pared back and perfect when it came to her natural look, and her carefully crafted simplicity made her form-fitting, lace gown with plunging neckline the star of the show (shoutout to the showstopping train!). Kam’s bride quad was on point in champagne cocktail dresses, supporting their girl as only besties can. On the boy’s side of the divide, Brock went modern meets classic in cut-off dress pants, a white jacket, and a black bowtie.

The excitement was palpable as we headed downstairs for Kam and Brock’s emotional first look, a moment I am ecstatic to have been a part of. Brock was teary-eyed as he turned to see his beautiful bride for the first time, and those few private moments together worked to calm pre-ceremony nerves. Before we knew it, it was go time!

The “I dos” took place at Garza Blanca’s Atrium, where the busy team of design experts at The Main Event Cabo had been working since sun up (only the best for our bride and groom!). The ocean-view ceremony space was decked out with clean white Chiavari chairs, a stunning circular altar structure, and an abundance of boho-inspired pampas grass arrangements. The neutral color scheme made the ocean backdrop pop, as Kamrynn and Brock shared personal promises from his and her’s vow books before their closest family and friends. I can’t get enough of those happy snaps as the new Mr. and Mrs. Van Cleve were announced husband and wife.

These two, well, they love to party, and their wedding day was no exception to the rule. The newlyweds made an impressive grand entrance, dancing into their rooftop reception to the cheers and applause of their closest peeps. And they didn’t stop dancing! A mouthwatering dinner, more than a few cocktails, and lots of laughs ensued before Dj Adan Mijares opened the dancefloor. Kam and Brock’s attention to detail led to prime photo ops throughout. Cold sparklers, a champagne tower, and a messy cake cutting were followed by a dramatic fireworks display, before the bride, groom, and guests decided to beat the heat and dive in (yep, to the pool!). Determined to carry the good vibes all the way to the end, Kam and Brock bid farewell surrounded by sparklers, and we can’t get enough of our bride’s custom “Mrs. Van Cleve” denim!
